ANGELIE RENAY MELZER/FOUNDER AND OWNER
Angelie Renay Melzer started her Pilates training in 1988 due to severe Scoliosis and continued her Pilates training throughout her professional dance career. She currently holds the highest level of national certification in the Pilates Industry; a PMA Pilates Gold Certification®. TEAM Pilates® is an Educational/Training Organization Member of the Pilates Method Alliance®. TEAM Pilates® offers continuing education courses in the Pilates Method and Bosates®, as well as private sessions on the Pilates equipment, mat and standing work.
ADRIANNA THOMPSON
The Co-Director/Founder of Aspen Gyrotonic & has been training in the Gyrotonic Expansion System since 1995. She is a certified GYROTONICŪ and GYROKINESISŪ Master Teacher & has worked extensively with Gyrotonic founder, Juliu Horvath. She has been on staff at White Cloud Studio, Studio Riverside, Body Evolution, Yoga Moves, and Village Gyrotonic in NYC and she has been a visiting master teacher at Oasis 9600 in Breckenridge, Co., Boston Pilates and in Walnut Creek, Ca. She has taught dancers from New York City Ballet, Jose Limon, Martha Graham, MOMIX Dance Companies and Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, as well as people with diverse physical interests or needing physical rehabilitation. She is also an accomplished professional dancer and Choreographer in New York City. She has performed and taught Master Classes around the world including at The Silesian Contemporary Dance Conference in Poland, in Slovenia, Finland, Bulgaria, Sri Lanka, India, Peru, New York City, Montana, Los Angeles, Texas, and the Harvard Summer Dance Project in Cambridge, MA. She has been a guest teacher for Aspen Santa Fe Ballet Company, Missouri River Dance Company, & Martha Graham Dance Company. Adrianna currently works with Team Pilates® as our Master Teacher for the Gyrotonic Teacher Training Program.
DR. RICHARD PAGE
Dr. Page attended the University of Maryland, European Division in Wiesbaden, Germany for his pre-medical studies from 1992-1995. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology in 1996 and his Doctorate of Chiropractic Medicine in 1999 from the Cleveland Chiropractic College. He started his private practice in 1999 in Kansas City, Missouri with a focus treating patients with acute and chronic musculoskeletal complaints and co-managing patients needing multidisciplinary solutions.
In addition to his chiropractic work, Dr. Page holds certifications in the following movement therapies; National Boards Part I, II, III, IV and Physical Therapy, Pilates education under the tutelage of master teacher, Angelie Renay Melzer through TEAM Pilates ®, National Board Certification through the Pilates Method Alliance ®, Graston Technique ® Advanced Certification, BACKSAFE ® Certification, SITTING SAFE ® Certification and education in the Atlas Orthogonal upper cervical technique. Dr. Page specializes in Performing Arts Musculoskeletal services and has worked with numerous organizations including; Alanis Morissette, Alvin Ailey, Heart of America Shakespeare Festival, Missouri Repertory Theatre, Lyric Opera, Kansas City Symphony, Kansas City Ballet, University of Missouri Dance, Opera and Music Departments, Sextet Dance and Wylliams Henry Dance. Dr. Page is a Teacher Trainer for TEAM Pilates ®; teaching the Pilates Teacher Trainings, Pilates for Dancers and is co-authoring a Pilates syllabus for Chiropractic Medicine.
JOLENE MONHEIM, PT
A Montana native, Jolene attended the University of Montana from 1977-1983 studying the Arts, Humanities and Science. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy. She worked as a staff PT from 1983-1986. She started her own practice, Physical Therapy Center of Great Falls, PC, in September of 1986. She sold her business in November of 2003 to pursue her artistic interests in photography and pastel painting. She was certified in the Pilates Method through the PhysicalMind Institute in 2003 under the tutelage of Master Teacher, Angelie Renay Melzer. Jolene is currently on the Role Delineation Panel for Team Pilates® and is co-author of the BOSATES® Movement Therapy course.
KATHY SCHIFFMAN, MA
Graduated from the University of Massachusetts in 1983 with a Bachelor’s Degree in English and Psychology. She obtained a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from Antioch New England Graduate School in 1988. She is a licensed Mental Health Counselor in Vermont and Wyoming. She is certified as a K-12 School Counselor in Vermont. Kathy has worked as a child, adolescent and family therapist for 16 years as well as working in Elementary, Middle and High Schools in Vermont. She specializes in the treatment of childhood trauma, specifically sexual abuse. In addition, Kathy is a certified Hypnotherapist and has taught meditation and relaxation techniques to High School students. She was certified in Pilates Mat Work by the PhysicalMind Institute in 2004 under the tutelage of Master Teacher, Angelie Renay Melzer and attended the Teacher Training Program for certification in the Full Equipment Work with CoreDynamics under the instruction of Master Teacher, Michelle Larsson. Kathy is currently working with Team Pilates® on the Movement Therapy for Children syllabus which will be presented in Daycare Centers and Pre-Elementary Schools throughout the United States.
