Mat 1 BB Pilates Training
Introduction to Pilates & Beginning/Intermediate Exercises :: 16 hours
Prerequisites: 1 year experience teaching movement, anatomy, 20 Pilates Mat class sessions
Mat I includes an introduction to the history and principles of Pilates, beginning and most intermediate level exercises with modifications, lectures on class order and programming in a group setting, and guidelines for teaching seniors, pre-, and post-natal classes.

Comprehensive Pilates Teacher Training Program
This program is offered through a collaboration between Team Pilates and Balanced Body. It includes Anatomy, Pilates Principles, Mat 1, Mat 2, Reformer 1, 2 and 3, Trapeze, Chair and Barrel trainings. The courses are broken into modules so that you can design your training to fit your needs. When the entire training is completed, you will be ready to sit for your PMA National Pilates Certification Exam.

Reformer 1 BB Pilates Training
Introduction to Reformer & Beginning Exercises and Pilates Principles :: 18 hours
Prerequisites: 2 years experience teaching movement, anatomy, 30 Pilates Reformer classes or personal training sessions
Reformer I includes an introduction to the Pilates Reformer including set up and safety, plus beginning exercises, program sequencing and teaching tips for group classes. By the end of the course you will be able to teach a beginning Reformer class or personal training session.

Reformer II includes intermediate exercises and modifications designed for group and individual instruction. Teaching successful classes and sessions to clients at different levels of ability is emphasized. Included are a variety of programs designed to keep your clients inspired.

Pilates Barrels & Small Apparatus (6 hours)
Prerequisite: Reformer II or Reformer certification
Includes exercises and variations for the Ladder Barrel, Step Barrel, Ped-o-Pull, Ring, Foot Corrector and Toe Corrector. The Step Barrel and Ladder Barrel add variety to personal training sessions or classes, the Magic Circle adds a challenge to wide variety of exercises and the other small apparatus are useful for working with clients with particular issues.

Event price: & $399 includes the Orbit, 6 hour workshop, manual and workout DVD.
Roll through a fun, full-body workout that strengthens, stretches and challenges on multiple planes! Orbit exercises include both circular and linear movements, and range from mild to complex. It an amazing core workout because your abdominal muscles are always engaged. You will also increase upper body and lower body strength, and improve flexibility and balance. An all-around great mind-body workout.
You’ll appreciate the ergonomic design, solid construction, and comfortable padded surface as you sit, lie, kneel and stand for a wide variety of exercises. Gait Workshop: This four-hour workshop will include an extensive break down of gait and postural evaluation. It will include a study on the natural gait pattern, pelvic girdle and spinal column and how they relate to gait as well as how a person’s movement patterns affect their posture.

Bosates® (Balance on an Unstable Surface + Pilates) combines the concepts of core stabilization that Joseph Pilates developed with the use of core strengthening tools. This combination provides an exciting new application of Pilates’ original ideas and promotes strength, body awareness, optimal function and proprioception. It challenges the neuromuscular system to create new movement repertoires. Body awareness and mind/body connection are established through the breath, which keeps us in the present moment and is paramount in the motor learning process.
